UPDATE: Jan. 24, 2023, 9:25 p.m. – GoFundMe has released a statement in response to a woman who faces charges after she claimed to have cancer.
“GoFundMe has a zero tolerance policy for misuse of our platform and cooperates with law enforcement investigations of those accused of wrongdoing. All donors have been refunded and we have removed this fundraiser,” the statement says. “The organizer has also been banned from using the platform for any future fundraisers.

$1-million I-80 bridge repair to start March 18
Repairs will begin on the I-80 Mississippi River bridge in Rock Island County on Monday, March 18, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced Monday.
Work will repair the bridge deck. One lane of traffic will be open in each direction and all ramps will be open during the $1-million project, which is scheduled to be completed in July, IDOT said in the release.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area.
