It looks like Melissa McCarthy is the newest game show host on the block! The beloved comedian and actress will be hosting NBC’s Little Big Shots, replacing Steve Harvey. The Bridesmaids actress, 48, will usher in a “new version” of Little Big Shots — which Steve, 62, hosted for the first three seasons. “Everyone around here is just incredibly excited to have [Melissa] at NBC,” NBC Entertainment cochairman Paul Telegdy told reporters on Sunday, May 12, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Daniel Noboa, heir to banana fortune, wins Ecuadors presidential runoff election

QUITO, Ecuador (AP) — Daniel Noboa, an inexperienced politician and an heir to a fortune built on the banana trade, won Ecuador’s presidential runoff election Sunday held amid unprecedented violence that even claimed the life of a candidate. With more than 97% of the votes counted, electoral officials said Noboa had 52.1%, compared to 47.9% for Luisa González, a leftist lawyer and ally of exiled former President Rafael Correa. González conceded defeat during a speech before supporters in which she also urged Noboa to fulfill his campaign promises.

Chris Cagle Arrested in Texas

Singer Chris Cagle was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in Greenville, Texas. He reportedly ran a red light at about 2AM Sunday (Dec. 15) on U.S. 69, prompting a Department of Public Safety officer to pull him over. The Dallas News reports that Cagle was booked at the Hunt County Jail in Greenville, but other sources indicate he has since been released. The 'What Kinda Gone' hitmaker's representatives didn't respond to requests for comment.

Reba McEntire's Unselfish Act for Conway Twitty Was Not Forgotten

Reba McEntire's kindness has not been forgotten by Conway Twitty's family. On the day he died, the country superstar went above and beyond to make sure they got to say goodbye.
